How can QBC assist parents with behavior
management?

QBC can train parents/caregivers in the basics of ABA
for the purpose of understanding how ABA can work
to help their child or children adjust in home and
community settings.

 

Primary Interventions Used

• Meltdown Management:  QBC can teach parents how to effectively manage meltdowns in the home and community

• Preventative Behavior Management:  QBC can set up procedures and teach parents how to prevent disruptive behaviors in the home and community settings

• Precision Teaching:  QBC can teach parents the role of pinpointing behavior and how it applies day to day behavioral needs

• Safety Skills:  QBC can teach parents behavior based safety

Parent Training and Development: A BCBA can train parents/caregivers in the basics of ABA for the purpose of understanding how ABA can work to help their child or children adjust in home and community settings. This is typically done via video conferencing.
