How can QBC help military families?
QBC can help active duty families with the transitions that
accompany the deployment cycle (pre-deployment, deployment
and re-integration) as well as helping children with special needs
within these families.
Primary Interventions Used
• Military Transitions: QBC can assist active duty families with the various transition needs that accompany the deployment cycle
• Precision Teaching: QBC can teach families the role of behavior fluency and how it applies to social and academic needs for themselves and their children
• Home Based Programs: QBC can implement the use of an ABA Tutor/Behavior Technician to deliver interventions
• School Based Programs: QBC can collaborate with school to help the learner succeed in academics and social needs
• Leisure Activities: QBC can help families set up schedules to maximize leisure times
Military Families: QBC BCBAs have worked with both active duty and retired military families. A BCBA can help active duty families with the transitions that accompany the deployment cycle (pre-deployment, deployment and re-integration) as well as helping children with special needs within these families. Programs (home based programs, school consults) for special needs children may include the use of ABA Tutor to deliver interventions. Consults are often done via video conferencing allowing most any family to have access to ABA services.
